Liar, Liar Pants on Fire: Biden & Pulse Nightclub Shooting

Portrait of Legacy Media 2021 colorized

Biden’s britches are burnin’ today…

President Joe Biden was being intellectually dishonest, and the legacy media has allowed him get away with it by pushing gun control on the anniversary of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

“Joe Biden told reporters it is time to close loopholes that allow gun buyers to bypass background checks, but it is well-documented that the Orlando mass killer had passed background checks when he legally purchased the rifle and pistol used in the attack,” noted CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Biden was either stupid, or intellectually dishonest with his remarks, and I’m livid the establishment media omitted this key fact in its reporting.”

The Pulse nightclub shooter purchased his rifle from a retailer in Port St. Lucie one day and he returned to the store to buy a pistol the following day. Both transactions required federal background checks, and there was a 3-day waiting period on the handgun purchase.

“This is the kind of flagrant disregard for the facts that gun owners have to deal with constantly,” Gottlieb added. “Biden wants Congress to adopt so-called ‘reforms,’ without acknowledging that when these decisions are made on Capitol Hill, they affect individual rights and freedoms, and the results can be disastrous for law-abiding citizens who had absolutely nothing to do with the Pulse shooting or any other crime.”

Gottlieb is particularly frustrated and appalled by the establishment media for giving Biden a pass on all of this without raising any questions.

“Nobody in the legacy media calls him out,” Gottlieb stated. “Not one member of the White House press corps has challenged Joe Biden on his gun control agenda, even when the facts about such incidents as the Pulse shooting are well-documented and easy to find. It is pathetic that nobody in the elite, establishment press questioned anything Biden said.

“Biden has made a lot of promises and predictions over the years about what his gun control schemes would accomplish,” Gottlieb recalled, “but all we’ve seen is more erosion of rights, added inconvenience and increased penalization of honest Americans. It’s time for the legacy media to stop giving him a pass.”

  1. The current puppet inhabiting the Oval Office is the 2nd worst joke ever played on the American voter!! Kick his ass to the moon aalong with his handlers!

  2. It’s not an “either/or”. Biden is BOTH stupid and a liar. The only truth he’s told is the way they would beat President Trump (still president, BTW) was to CHEAT.

  3. I think the Washington progressives, in control at this moment, want to. Completely disarm the American people. I think you may agree that isn’t going to happen peacefully.

    1. If the fools in Washington think the American people, will let a bunch f limp wrist sissy take the American people guns away from the people, everyone must remember my motto in life two simple words lock and load

  4. I agree with Joe Biden when he told reporters it is time to close loopholes that allow gun buyers to bypass background checks. I feel every gun purchase, private or commercial sale, should require a background check.
Biden did NOT say that the Pulse shooter never had to pass a background check.
Any affect on individual rights and freedoms should be minimal and worth any inconvenience for the public good. The results of NOT having it done can be disastrous for law-abiding citizens.

    1. I disagree with you, the back ground checks is a Bull crap story, my right to own gun is a right that all Americans have. the back ground check is so wrong if someone wants a gun that can buy it on any street in any town with out aback ground check, gun don’t kill, dumb holes like you kill people whit your stupidity, people who think that having a back ground check will stop gun violence, are so stupid because as I started earlier if someone wants a gun it take 10 minutes and $50 in any town large or small and now you own a gun ,So take your background checks and spread them cheeks and shove your back ground check up your a,,~~.

  5. Did this legal gun owner receive a ticker tape parade, key to the city, or even given a medal? Damned sure earned it.

  6. Some people including a few of my relatives held it against Trump “because he lies”, they don’t know enough truth to understand how much more of a liar this FRIGGING SOB is. And with a press secretary who says he’ll keep doing it even when called on it. As Americans the national Democrats SUCKS and I hold the local Democrats responsible for it because they keep electing the SOBs. I am now writing a monthly letter to the editor to harangue the locals in my area. It’s monthly because that is the paper’s limit.

  7. I did not see the quote that you seem to want to reference from Biden. Why didn’t you publish the Biden quote, instead of Gottlieb’s vague interpretation? I was aware, as are most who read, that the Pulse shooter had obtained weapons legally. I don’t understand the rights that would be undermined, however I realize a background check is inconvenient – kind of like having to take a driving test or renew your Driver LIcense. I wonder if the automotive industry lobby rallied against Driver Licensing?

    1. This sounds just like a page out of the gun banning groups book. Background checks will stop criminals and stop all crime they tell. Well has it? The 2nd amendment is a right, not a privilege as those in the gun banning community think. when comparing firearms to automobiles. Cars kill 50,000 Americans every year. Illegal drugs kill 75000 a year.
Let me ask you this, why back in the 1940″s, and 1950’s one could walk into a hardware store, gun shop or mail order catalog and order all the firearms one wanted and the crime and shootings was much lower than today.
The next thing the gun banners want is some type of “license’ to purchase and own firearms. But wait, crazyfornia and Illinois already have that. Did that put a stop to all crime? “No” they yell, ” we need more firearm laws!” Over in Italy, with their gun control, the mob kills judges and policeman. So what will stop the criminals? Maybe if certain politicians stop listening to loud mouth radical trouble maker criminals and stop trying to defund- abolish the police, and start putting these criminals and rioters in jail, then they will be off the streets, crime will drop and perhaps in jail they can be taught to be citizens.
Another reason why crime is up in major cities is because the Border Patrol has no more room for all the illegals coming up from Central America and they are putting them on busses and planes and sending them off to major cities and the crime rate goes up.
China Joe claims the crime is up in major cities because. of “white supremacists terrorists”. What nonsense. If he knows that, well tell everyone who they are!
The gun banning groups are run and funded by Micheal Bloomberg, George Soros, the Chinese government, the U.N, and Russia.
Support and protect your right to keep and own all types of firearms and accessories. Don’t let the power crazed politicians take away our “Rights”!.
There are some in Congress right now (squad) who think the US Constitution and Bill of Rights are outdated and want to replace them with something out of Stalin and Castro handbook. They also want to replace the American flag too!

    2. Hey Matt,
That’s a good question, and one that a lot of people ask. Please allow me to answer: it is commonly held by a great many within the gun community that the best and most effective way to enforce universal background checks would be the creation of a federal gun owners database. It is also held that this would not only be unconstitutional, it is also the first step necessary to implement mandatory universal disarmament, i.e. confiscation from law-abiding citizens. That’s the simple answer… local gun registration is not typically shared with the Fed. To do so would be to create the aforementioned list. What about fully automatic weapons, you may ask? For these, you must already go through steps with the federal government to be authorized to purchase. Imho, if a universal background check should ever come to pass, there should also be a requirement to destroy approved background checks within a specific time frame. But, would you really trust the federal government to do that?

    3. Matt,
Driving a car is not a constitutional right, but gun ownership is. How do you describe infringement? Maybe everyone should get a license before they speak out in public. That would stop a lot of people from getting their little feelings hurt, wouldn’t it?

  8. Of course slow joe was lying – not just about Pulse but any and all things firearm related – after all his lips were moving!
Seriously, should anyone take ‘gun advice’ from a guy who thinks it is okay to go out onto your balcony and fire off a double barrel shotgun to ‘scare’ off intruders? Or even ‘better’ to simply shoot thru the front door? C’mon man, do I really need to point out all of the hazards and legal issues such acts WILL open ya up to?

  9. I’m sure it makes no difference to the people who were killed, whether it was purchased legally or illegally.
As long as it’s not your family member or yourself, you’ll continue on this moronic tirade of who’s telling the truth, or the whole truth as you see it.
    Well, here it is;
5 years ago, some nut walked into a bar that was frequented by gays etc., and began shooting. After, about 50 people lay dead inside. The GOP offered their “thoughts and prayers”, and life goes on, while continuing to take money from the gun PACs in order to get re-elected to do more of nothing.
More multiple shootings on a daily basis. While there is never a good time to “talk” about the problem we have with guns in our Country. Just as long as it doesn’t happen to you, or your family, you really could care less.
Remember, “what goes around, comes around” and eventually you too will be affected in some way by someone else’s violence.
My “thoughts & prayers” will be with you for all of a minute, because you had a chance to do something about it, but chose to write “liar, liar, pants on fire” instead, about a decent man; while heaping praise on a vile, traitorous liar that spreads hate like peanut butter on bread. FY

    1. Says the guy spewing a “moronic tirade”. You cannot legislate morality. Evil will exist until it doesn’t. Criminals will continue to do evil even once they outlaw butter knives for being “weapons of war”. Sit down, and I pray you don’t have to be saved by an armed angel someday. Cheers.

    2. So you think this senile, never did a thing worth his salt in all his time in government. You have no idea what its like to purchase a weapon to protect you and your family. My prayers won’t be with you or people that are cowards to stand up to the Bill of Rights and our Great Constitution. And you probably SUPPORT changing our Flag. Move to one of the Utopian countries that is disarmed and let us know how great it is. Since you support the so called media, ask people randomly if they know the Pulse shooter bought his guns legally, and doesn’t it tell you something about the mental health of individuals that support that life style.

  10. I am surprised that Lincoln’s assasination hasn’t been used for more gun control. I know this has been said time and time before but perhaps if we enforce the existing laws and target the illeagle gun owners we might have more affect than all this mombo jumbo that also targets leagal gun owners. All this has done so far has driven the price of the gun up that is in the trunk of the car parked in the alley. However, the one purchasing can afford it. “Stupid is as stupid does” seems to fit here. Sometimes I wonder which is in more danger our freedom or our intelligence. The Constitution and the Admendments would be hard pressed to be penned now.

  11. I agree, why is Obiden allowed to continually lie about firearms and their ownership. May his pants burn in hell!
