How to Shoot a .50AE Desert Eagle Without Whimpering

You’re holding it wrong (maybe)!

Often, having an imperfect grip on your pistol isn’t really the end of the world. (How many times have you seen people on the range “teacupping” their .22 and still having a more-or-less okay time of it?) However, the higher the caliber, the less room for error. By the time you get to a hard-thumping caliber like the .50 AE, a bad grip can be painful. Still, you’ve seen video after video of petite Danyela D’Angelo shooting the Desert Eagle with the same ease as a rubber band. There must be some secret to withstanding the deep recoil of the Magnum Research Desert Eagle … and here it is!

Here’s something that’s not a secret: Kahr Arms–the parent company for Magnum Research–is giving back to the shooting community with a “Major” level corporate sponsorship with the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) for 2024. The famous gunmaker has already donated a custom Star Spangled Desert Eagle pistol to the committee, which will be given away to a member in July, according to CCRKBA Managing Director Andrew Gottlieb.

“We have had a great relationship with Kahr Arms over the years, and having the company come aboard as a ‘Major’ corporate sponsor further solidifies that bond,” Gottlieb stated. “We are thankful to have the support of Kahr Arms and are looking forward to expanding our projects ahead of the elections.” How cool is that? If you’re not a member, visit ccrkba.org to find out how to become one.
