Biden’s Executive Order Is About Restrictions, Not Safety
We’ll know it’s about “safety” when he starts banning bicycles.
President Joe Biden’s new executive order on guns won’t reduce gun-related violent crime, nor will it make our communities safer, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.
Biden signed the executive order Tuesday in Monterey Park, California. He is bypassing Congress, “with the goal of increasing the number of background checks conducted before firearm sales,” and moving the country closer to so-called “universal background checks” as possible without additional legislation.
“Joe Biden is trying to sell this new gun control scheme the way he’s always done, by promising less violent crime and safer neighborhoods,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “but this plan isn’t going to accomplish either goal, and he knows it. This sleight-of-hand maneuver simply makes it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to purchase firearms, while creating the impression gun dealers are crooks and the industry is unregulated.
“This is just another chapter in Joe Biden’s war on gun rights,” he continued. “It is a diversion to the Democrat failure to keep Americans safe from violent criminals who are released without bail and are free to prey on us all.”
Biden will encourage the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) “to issue a public report analyzing how gun manufacturers market firearms to minors and how such manufacturers market firearms to all civilians, including through the use of military imagery.” He will “Provide the public and policymakers with more information regarding federally licensed firearms dealers who are violating the law.” He will also direct the Secretary of Defense to develop and implement principles to further firearm and public safety practices through Department of Defense acquisition of firearms, consistent with applicable law.
“So,” Gottlieb observed, “Biden wants the Defense Department to buy more guns, he will blame crime on gun dealers and tell gun makers how to market their products. But he won’t tell the Justice Department to crack down on recidivist criminals, he’s not asking the courts to lock up armed felons and he’s continuing to treat the Second Amendment as a second-class right.
“Biden has always had an anti-gun agenda,” he added, “and on this important constitutional issue, he has never let the courts, public opinion or the Bill of Rights get in his way.”
“This is textbook Joe Biden,” Gottlieb concluded. “Talk tough, make it appear he’s doing something about crime when he really isn’t, and ultimately just continue penalizing law-abiding gun owners for crimes they didn’t commit. The only people who will be any safer are the criminals who ignore gun control laws already.”

SUMMARY:
Section 242 of Title 18 makes it a crime for a person acting under color of any law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.
For the purpose of Section 242, acts under “color of law” include acts not only done by federal, state, or local officials within their lawful authority, but also acts done beyond the bounds of that official’s lawful authority, if the acts are done while the official is purporting to or pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties. Persons acting under color of law within the meaning of this statute include police officers, prisons guards and other law enforcement officials, as well as judges, care providers in public health facilities, and others who are acting as public officials. It is not necessary that the crime be motivated by animus toward the race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin of the victim.

Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, … shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

We are on a slippery slope and Biden and their cronies are wearing skies. They have been working for this for a long time. These ultra-rich people who are controlling Biden know that as our society breaks down and the good people have nothing to defend themselves worst then they will take control and we will change from citizens to subjects! However, they are overlooking one thing. They can try and steal our guns from us but they will not get anywhere near all of them.
Those guns will be in the hands of patriots like those here. We will be just like the ones who fought for their freedom from England. We will be behind every tree, every fence, and every light post. Obviously Biden has but one goal for now. Disarm ALL Americans and make us helpless. Many if not most people in this country never actually took time to read the Constitution or Bill of Rights. There were two reasons for the Second Amendment. One was to protect the First Amendment and another very important one was to make the CITIZENS of the U.S. able to protect themselves if a totalitarian government ever decided to take over our country. That’s exactly what’s being done as I write this. Those doing it have been called Socialists. I call them Fascists because in some ways Biden and his partners in crime AGAINST our country are doing pretty much what a guy named Adolph Hither did when he took over Germany. And another thing. During WW2 Japan was planning to invade the West Coast. The commanding officer named Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto who’d spent time in the U.S. said “NO! Firearms are as thick as the blades of grass. Casualties would unacceptable.” It might be very interesting if every hunter, target shooter and gun collector would rise up and say. “Enough, this crap Biden is pulling has gone entirely too far!”

The President of the US cannot bypass Congress to do whatever he/she believe they can do while in power. Congress has duty and obligation to the people, there is a reason why we have a U. S. Congress, to do what is right for the people. Biden administration has been an abusive presidential authority who think they can bypass the people and ignore the Congress.
RAFY, in one way I hate to but must disagree with what you wrote. Biden can bypass Congress with executive orders, and he’s been doing it since he lied his way into office. In fact I think he might have written more than any other president in history. In fact he’s been violating everything in the Presidential Oath he took. In my opinion, Biden has been committing treason since he got power.
