On his CRIME PREVENTION RESEARCH CENTER website, Dr. John Lott explains what motivated the Parkland shooter, and shared the shooter’s cell phone video created prior to the shooting.

Could the Parkland, FL shooter have made his motivations any clearer?

  • “When you see me on the news you will all know who I am.”
  • “From the rath of my power they will know who I am.”
  • “With the power of my AR you will all know who I am.”
  • “You will all know what my name is.”

For 20 years, Dr. Lott has been explaining that killers want to commit suicide in a way that will bring them notoriety. The goal of gaining media attention is present both in attacks by lone killers and in coordinated strikes by Muslim radicals.

The full article can be found here, which includes an excerpt from Lott’s book, The War on Guns: Arming Yourself Against Gun Control Lies.
