A Shiny New Walther PPK Came Out Today

James Bond may have made the Walther PPK a household name, but the credit for its enduring popularity is due entirely to the company. Part of the formula is innovation, and true to form, Walther just released a new member of their PPK family, a stainless version in .380 ACP. It’s shipping now and should be available at dealers shortly.
It might be tough to believe, but the PPK has been around for over 80 years. At the time of its invention it inspired an entirely new category in the firearm industry, now widely known as the concealed carry pistol. Previously, if one wanted a very small and concealable handgun, one was generally left with a choice between tiny calibers or derringers that delivered a wrist-bruising punch.
Few guns have withstood the test of time like the brilliantly designed PPK. To this day, the PPK is still one of the most sought after concealed carry pistols on the market. This demand serves as a testament to Walther’s long-enduring legacy of excellence and unparalleled performance. The timeless design and superior engineering make the PPK a true legend amongst firearms.
“We are very excited about the release of the PPK. This series is truly an icon in the history of concealed carry pistols. Every employee at Walther is proud to be a part of the reintroduction of this legendary series, and we take pride in maintaining the attention-to-detail from the original manufacturing over 80 years ago.” Said Bret Vorhees, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Walther Arms, Inc.

I also own a PPKS in 380. Never had a problem. Good enough to take the head of a Copperhead at 7 yards and it moving. I not that good but if you hold on your target with this gun you will hit..
Walther PPK was the very first weapon I shot! Absolutely have wanted one since and now, it’s STAINLESS…Time 2 git me one! When will they be made available???
Yours in FREEDOM…
My first Walther was a PP in .22. It was very easy to carry, accurate and totally reliable. Years later, I bought a PPK and then a PPK/S. The PPK was a good pistol, but I had a lot of problems with the PPK/S. As I recall, it was built by another gun manufacturer under a license from Walther. It was not very accurate or reliable.. Walther has that James Bond aurora, but you can now buy a reliable and accurate 9mm that weighs less, holds more rounds, and is just as easy to conceal. If Walther starts building a reliable 9mm PPK, I would give it serious consideration, but until then, I’ll stick with my Sig P365.
I love my PPK/s and have had it since the early 80’s. It was my off duty/BUG then and it is my EDC now. Very reliable and never had any issues with it!!!
We own a PPK/S and a Walther PK-380. My whole family agrees, the cheaper PK-380 handles and shoots better than the PPK/S. I would have lost a bet on that!
While the PP/PPK/PPKS are all great pistols and extremely pleasurable to shoot, why not offer an updated version? There are several areas that modern carry guns address and that the age-old design does not. They’re really just simple things like more user friendly sights, g-10 grips, and maybe a larger beaver tail (mine has given me slide and/or hammer bite since the day I bought it).
