Let’s Go to the Range With Steyr Arms

The CMP range is one of the nicest in the entire U.S.–worth a visit all on its own!

Steyr Arms is setting out to solve one of the great conundrums of buying guns: You know that it’s best to test-shoot your gun before you plunk down your hard-earned cash, but most gun stores just don’t have the facilities to let you try before you buy. That’s why it’s such great news that the storied gunmaker is hosting a Range Day this July. Due to be held at the state-of-the-art Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) range in Talladega, Alabama, Steyr’s Range Day offers you the opportunity to have some hands-on experience with the award-winning line of Steyr Arms USA firearms in person.

The 500-acre CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park—which also happens to be home of the Steyr Academy—is one of the nicest civilian-accessible ranges in the country. With 50 stations, the CMP facility features a 600-yard rifle range with targets at 200, 300 and 600 yards; a 100-yard multi-purpose range; a 50-yard pistol range, 15 action-pistol bays; a trap field; a 5-stand field; and a 15-station sporting clays field. And that’s a good thing, because few other facilities can accommodate the wide variety of handguns and rifles fielded by the world-famous Austrian gunmaker.

This all-day event will allow current and future Steyr customers the opportunity to handle and shoot the full line of Steyr Arms rifles and pistols. This will include the brand-new A2 pistol and even the HS .50. The final date and registration price will be confirmed and posted in the Steyr newsletter and on Facebook in the next few weeks. Be sure visit www.steyr-arms.com/us/ to sign up for their weekly newsletter, which comes out on Thursday mornings and features exclusive sales and breaking news, and follow the Steyr Arms USA Facebook page.
