Big-Game Dream Gun: Montana Rifle Company Model 2022
The anticipation was killing us … but so worth it.
It’s here and it’s shipping–the Montana Rifle Company Model 2022 Highline bolt gun that we’ve been waiting for. Why was this release so exciting for big-game hunters? Part of it is about the company’s commitment to made-in-the-USA quality. Montana Rifles are built from the action out; all critical parts are blueprinted, made in-house, and built to meet Grandpa’s standards and your toughest adventures – to be handed down for generations.
The Model 2022 Highline Rifle was modeled after the pre-64 model 70 and is fully machined from 416 stainless steel, and coming at you straight from Grace Engineering’s headquarters in Memphis, Michigan. Set in a McMillan Game Hunter carbon stock with a 24″ threaded barrel with brake, the Model 2022 Highline weighs in at 6.8 lbs. Currently, the rifle is available in your choice of burnt bronze Cerakote or satin stainless-steel finish on all calibers–6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Winchester. The rifle ships in a branded Montana Rifle hard gun case.
All Montana Rifles feature the innovative Adaptive Controlled Round Feed. With this industry-leading feature, hunters can seamlessly alternate between controlled round feed, facilitating magazine-fed ammunition, and push feed, enabling direct single round chamber loading. Recognized as the gold standard in reliability, controlled round feed ensures consistent performance in any hunting scenario. By empowering hunters to adapt their feeding method on the fly, Montana rifles are always ready for any situation in the field leading to increased success and confidence in the hunt.
All Model 2022s utilize a 3-position safety – the gold standard of modern sporting rifles. A performance trigger is set at 3 lbs., with the ability to adjust down to 2 lbs. The company guarantees ½” MOA Accuracy in a 3-shot group from a cold barrel when using premium ammunition. That’s due, in part, to Montana Rifle’s commitment to making ultra-accurate, hand-lapped, button-pulled barrels in-house in Memphis, Michigan.
This rifle was created to be with your family for generations to come. Ensure the stories associated with your Montana Rifle live forever by utilizing the Montana Rifle Co. Legacy Warranty Transfer. With this exclusive warranty, you can transfer ownership of your rifle.
“As we are getting into spring, big game hunters are starting to look ahead to their hunting seasons, and we have seen that the Highline is quickly, and quietly becoming a common choice for hunters,” stated Grace Engineering President Matt Grace. “We couldn’t be more pleased at how the re-launch of Montana Rifle Company has gone, and now are eagerly awaiting to see photos of our customer’s success in the field.” MSRP $2,595; montanarifleco.com.
