Get Your Own Bonnie and Clyde Thompson. This is Mine.

Mine, all mine.

Today, Thompson Auto-Ordnance broke my accountant’s heart by announcing that they’re introducing (semi-automatic, natch) “Tommy Guns” dedicated to outlaw legends Bonnie and Clyde. You can get one of your own if you like; the company says that the guns are shipping now and should be available from your dealer by the time you get over your disappointment that the one pictured above is mine. Because I saw it first.

Even if you’re not a big Roaring Twenties buff (and that’s fine, because that means more Bonnie and Clyde guns for me), you’ve got to admit that these are some fine-looking rifles that belong to me, just me. Each of these Tommy Guns are engraved with reminders of the outlaw duo’s escapades, including photos, a wanted poster, and news headline. The stock features text from Bonnie’s famous poem, “The Trail’s End,”which foreshadowed the pair’s eventual 1934 demise. The grip is engraved with the badge of the Texas Rangers, in commemoration of the legendary Frank Hamer’s leadership stopping the outlaws. The finish is a Cerakote “rusted” look. Underneath is an all-steel, 18-inch-barreled, 1927 pattern Thompson, chambered in powerful .45 ACP. The stock, forearm, and grip are walnut.

And if you’re not a Twenties kind of guy (or gal), maybe a little backstory on the two will whet your whistle (but not for that gun above, because it’s mine). Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow committed a long string of murders and robberies, ultimately leading to their demise in a fiery ambush by law enforcement officers. Despite their evil ways, both bandits became symbols of the time period and earned a role in American popular culture–including multiple film portrayals.

The “Bonnie and Clyde” Thompson (T150D-BNC) has an MSRP of $2,583 and comes with a 50-round drum and 20-round stick magazine. Go get your own.

Here’s some music to enjoy while you’re on the horn with your dealer:
